Introduction
Welcome to Colvesta. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it.
By using Colvesta, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Who We Are
Colvesta is a collector showcase platform that allows users to display their personal collections, explore other collectors' collections, and connect with a community of enthusiasts. Colvesta is currently in a pre-launch development phase.
For any privacy-related questions, contact us at: support@colvesta.com
Information We Collect
3.1Information You Provide Directly
- Account information: When you sign in via Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from those providers.
- Profile information: Any display name, profile photo, or bio you choose to add.
- Collection data: Items you add to your collection, including titles, descriptions, categories, and images you upload.
3.2Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: How you interact with the app (screens visited, features used, session duration).
- Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version.
- Log data: IP address, timestamps, and error logs for debugging and security purposes.
3.3Payment Information
If you subscribe to Colvesta Pro, payments are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card or banking information. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status from those platforms.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Display your collections and profile to other users of the platform
- Provide estimated market valuations for your collection items
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Service
- Respond to your support requests and communications
- Monitor for and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity
- Send you important notices about your account or changes to our terms (not marketing emails)
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with third parties for their marketing purposes.
We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- With third-party service providers who help us operate Colvesta (such as cloud hosting, analytics, and market data providers), under strict confidentiality agreements.
- With authentication providers (Google, Apple) as part of the sign-in process, subject to their own privacy policies.
- If required by law — in response to a valid legal request, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
- In a business transfer — if Colvesta is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before this occurs.
Public vs. Private Information
Colvesta is a showcase platform. By default, your collection and profile are visible to other users of the app. This is core to the social nature of the Service.
You are in control of what you add to your collection. Do not upload content you wish to keep private. Future versions of the app may introduce visibility controls — we will update this policy accordingly.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or security purposes.
Third-Party Services
Colvesta integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Google Sign-In — policies.google.com/privacy
- Apple Sign In — apple.com/legal/privacy
- Apple App Store / Google Play — for subscription billing
- Market data providers (eBay, PriceCharting, TCGPlayer, Discogs, StockX) — used to estimate collection values; no personal data is shared with them
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these services.
Children's Privacy
Colvesta is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@colvesta.com.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Deletion — Request that we delete your personal data
- Portability — Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Objection — Object to certain types of processing
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@colvesta.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Cookies and Tracking
The Colvesta mobile app does not use browser cookies. We may use limited analytics tools to understand how users interact with the app. These tools collect anonymized, aggregated usage data and do not track you across other apps or websites.
If a web version of Colvesta is launched in the future, a separate cookie policy will be provided at that time.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you through the app or via email. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Guatemala.
